Founded on the values of family, integrity, and quality craftsmanship, Backyard Oasis (BYO) was opened in 1999 by Faye and Bob Williamson. With daughter Cheryl Masters running operations and granddaughter Madeline Masters as an integral part of the company, our family-owned and operated pool-building company is dedicated to transforming ordinary spaces into an extraordinary oasis’ where cherished memories are made.
Backyard Oasis set out to redefine the concept of luxury living in the comfort of one's backyard. Our mission has been clear: to create backyard pools with added outdoor features where homeowners and neighborhoods can gather, celebrate, and create lasting moments for generations to come.
Family has always been at the center of who we are and how we operate. Alongside Faye and Bob, their daughter Cheryl Masters quickly became an integral part of the operation, bringing her own unique perspective and expertise to the table. Together, they navigated the challenges and celebrated the successes, building a legacy of excellence that has spanned over two decades.
In recent years, Cheryl's daughter, Maddie Masters, joined BYO to continue the deep-seated values that define us to our core. With 3 generations working hand in hand, we are poised to continue our tradition of building extraordinary backyard pools.
Since its beginning, Backyard Oasis has been synonymous with innovation, elegance, and excellence in luxury pool design and construction throughout the Greater Northwest Houston area. We serve The Woodlands, Tomball, Cypress, Magnolia, Waller, and many other northwest areas. Our team of skilled designers and craftsmen blend creativity with precision, crafting each project to exceed the expectations of our discerning clientele.
Today, more than ever, the backyard has evolved into a seamless extension of the home where relaxation and recreation converge. It starts with a splash in one of our custom-designed pools and extends to watching the Big Game in an added-on outdoor living space or simply unwinding from the day with a wine glass in hand, sinking in the warmth of a bubbling spa.
Backyard Oasis has been awarded many times over the decades, including being nominated one of the Houston Chron’s Best of the Best Swimming Pool Building Companies in 2023! Some outstanding awards include two international awards, Pulse City Customer Service Awards (2014-2023), and countless awards from the Southwest Pool and Spa Division and Pebble Tec’s “World’s Greatest Pools.”
